Our Weekends With series continues in Holladay, Utah, where Brynn and Blake Hadley—the creative duo behind @hadleyhaven—have turned their mid-century modern post-and-beam ranch into their family’s haven. Longtime LBE Design fans, we’ve loved collaborating with them on everything from gift guides to front-porch styling. Brynn and Blake took us along this weekend as they and their four kids welcomed the start of summer with fresh-air rituals.
Saturday: Trails & Barefoot Moments
We love spending time outdoors, and Saturday mornings are perfect for wrangling the kids and burning off energy on a nearby trail. We came across Bridal Veil Falls, a well-loved waterfall off the trail in Provo Canyon, and the kids couldn’t get enough of hunting down colorful rocks in the stream. There’s nothing like kicking off your socks and grounding yourself in cool water to feel fully present.
Saturday Night: Bonfires & Summer Nights
That evening, friends gathered with us at Homestead Resort in Midway, Utah, for sticky-fingered s’mores around a roaring fire. We’ve curated our home bit by bit, and it feels so good to share beautiful spaces—both near and far—with people we love. Toasty fire, gooey marshmallows, and good company—pure summer magic.
Sunday: Rackets & a Picnic Under the Oaks
Sunday called for a change of scenery: we spread a picnic blanket at the park, then grabbed our rackets for a friendly family tennis match under the shade of the oaks. Three kids racing the court and an infant in tow made every rally feel like its own little celebration.
We love living in Utah, where outdoor adventures are always just around the corner. As Brynn always says: “Always keep a picnic blanket in the back of your car for a spontaneous adventure!”
