Earth Day Garden Party with LBE Design, Rosy Soil & Geometry Gardens
Apr 24, 2025
A day full of plants, pottery, and purpose.
On April 22nd, we gathered in Brooklyn to celebrate Earth Day with an evening of plants, pottery, and community care—hosted in collaboration with our friends at Rosy Soil and the always-welcoming Geometry Gardens team. A mix of families, plant-loving friends, and curious passersby wandered in to learn, pot a plant, and take home a little green inspiration. It was one of those perfect New York nights—full of meaningful conversations and the kind of community connection that makes this work so rewarding.
As part of our Plant-a-Seed Program, we brought along an assortment of “seconds” ceramic planters—pieces that don’t quite meet our retail standards due to minor blemishes, but are still beautiful and perfectly functional. Instead of letting them go to waste, we give them a second life at events like this one.
Guests dropped in throughout the evening to pot their own hand-picked greenery in one of our Round Two, 4’’ seconds and Rosy Soil’s peat-free, carbon-sequestering mix—all while enjoying drinks, snacks, and connection.
Rosy Soil founder Chad Massura led guests through the potting process, sharing practical soil tips and insights on sustainable gardening. Many of us learned, for the first time, about the environmental impact of peat and how Rosy Soil is creating a fully carbon-neutral alternative.
Together, we raised over $500 for City Harvest and Los Sures, two NYC nonprofits working to address food insecurity and strengthen community resilience.
Thanks to everyone who came out- we can’t wait to do it again. Drop us a note and let us know how we can help support green initiatives in your community.
